Getting back into the groove of things after vacation is not easy. Once you develop the routine of waking up, throwing on your swimwear, grabbing breakfast, and heading straight to the beach everyday; it’s quite hard to break. But, all good things must come to an end, and I’m finding ways to get inspired into my work once again. I’ve been revisiting some of my favorite blogs, which gets my creative gears going. I love catching up with Sarah Sherman Samuel – who is queen of Mid Century Modern style, Jillian Harris – literally my favorite human, Lonny Mag, and My Domaine. Inspiration galore. And, per usual, I’m browsing pinterest for ideas. Other than the web, there are plenty of books that are sure to open your mind. I typically lean towards light reads, but I’ve heard so many positive reviews about “The Power of Now” and hope to pick that up soon. What I find to be the best way to open my creativity is to live in the feel-good moments. I can’t express this enough. Do you know that feeling? For me, it could be; taking a walk in a new surrounding, sipping a hazelnut coffee, listening to a song that just gets you, slipping on a favorite tee, rearranging furniture, pouring a glass of wine, lighting a candle, plopping down on the sofa and watching a show. No moment is too small.
Deep thoughts, I know. Let’s move on to the visually pleasing inspo:
