Spring uniform on repeat: girlfriend jeans, light cottons and linens, slides, panama hat, and a statement piece. I’m all about dressing effortlessly and that includes wearing materials that feel the most natural. For tops/bottoms – linens, cottons, and denims. For accessories – straw, felt and wood. When choosing an outfit, I focus on balancing and mixing textures, just as I would approach styling my home. Typically, I’m slipping into distressed denim, a simple top and pairing it with interesting, bold accessories. I find this to be the most functional approach for my closet. Because with simple, staple clothing items, I can re-wear them and then just switch out the accessories to create a new look. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE unique pieces, but I find myself wearing them once or twice a season.
My latest statement accessory is this JORD wood watch. Talk about meeting my style needs. This beauty has a mint face; mind you, one of the best colors to rock in the spring and I’m really excited to bring it along on my beach trip this summer. The wood detail is incompariable and it’s very lightweight and comfortable. They have both men’s and women’s watches and Ryan is currently begging for one – classic!
