I’ve been obsessing over entry ways lately. Our rental doesn’t have much of an entry way, just enough room for a coat rack! We’ve been on the house hunt the past few months and I’ve been excited thinking about styling my own entry way. For now, I’ll keep pinning for inspo. I compare entry ways to the first impression rose on The Bachelor (LOL, similar.) It’s the first impression you have on the home; how you are greeted. That feeling should be an introduction to the flow of the rest of the home. There are several components I particularly love in entry ways:
RUGS | So, I’m on this vintage rug kick. I ADORE. Fingers crossed that I find a orange/peach/apricot based one soon. I have one on my radar, I’ll keep you posted. Anyways, I totally promote vintage rugs in the entry because its art and its warm.
MIRRORS | This round, frameless mirror trend rocks. I like the mix of the modern mirror with vintage and natural elements. Also, if your entry way is a bit narrow, mirrors will give the illusion of depth.
BENCHES | Woven bench, please. I’m more of a bench over a console table in the entry kinda girl. Unless you have a large space where you can do a round table in the center, then yes, do that.
GREENERY | Would you just look at it? ^^^ (always completes the room)
LIGHTING | A statement pendant is my go to. I just picked up this one from Ikea and I’m in love. Considering we may be moving soon, Ryan says we can’t install it just yet. I’m anxious, but hey, at least I’m prepared.
