A place that feels like home.
We’ve been visiting the Cavalier Hotel since I was a little girl. I have so many memories held within these same walls. As of recently, The Cavalier Hotel went under a major renovation and has reopened – better than ever. So much life has been brought back into this historic gem. Keeping its original floors, which I admire, yet updating all of the surrounding decor. Just what was needed. Our trip here in July was beyond.
What I loved most about our stay was that it completely felt like we were swept away in another country. Several cozy, charming seating areas to put you into relaxation mode. The property repletes greenery and architectural details. Still dreaming of those ocean views and the feeling of salt on my skin.
This photo means the world. Seeing my husband swim in the pool I spent so much time in as a little girl was surreal. One of those pinch me, “where has the time gone?”, pure bliss kind of moments.
I love everything about our breakfast spot — the terra-cotta floors, french windows, oversized pots with greenery, warm wood chairs with a touch of linen, and the chandeliers. Stunning. Shown below is the patio on the other side of these windows where we also enjoyed several morning meals – with a side of sunshine!
