It seems as though I’ve been collecting inspiration for a future home my whole life and now, the day is here where we’re actually executing what I envisioned. It’s so surreal! I wanted to share some images that influenced the design process so far.
As some of you may have seen from my instagram stories, the current condition of our fireplace is quite dated. It’s a combination of brick and wood paneling. We’re going to be covering the entire fireplace in concrete, hello modern! So excited to bring this natural element into our design! It’s going to be the perfect accent to our vaulted ceilings.
White oak hardwood is a definite! I love the look of the wide plank too.
So, black kitchens are my thing. The key to not make our space feel too small or congested will be using all lower cabinets and open shelving above. We’re currently working on the kitchen design which will consist of black, white, brass, and wood accents! But, not spilling any specific deets just yet!
I just really love the dark grout subway tile paired with brass fixtures. Plus, this all white bathroom is everything.
Now that we have extra bedrooms, I can’t wait to make a cozy guest room! Currently in our two bedroom rental, our guest bedroom also pairs as Ryan’s music studio. Haha, not exactly the most serene for our guests! I’m looking forward to making a little oasis, so who wants to have a sleepover?! Ok, maybe next year!
Our walk-out basement in going to be transformed into a cool music studio for the hubs! I’m thinking we’re going to layer some vintage rugs and make it a retro space with lots of color since the main level is going to be pretty neutral.
Mixing different textures and natural elements is certain. Cannot wait to share what’s to come!
