Trip of a lifetime. It was nice to unwind after the wedding day passed. Sunday was a recover and pack kind of day, and by Monday, we were off. We had so much fun and were able to completely relax. The Ritz really knows how to make their guests feel special.
The Ritz is stunning but it is also a lot of fun – filled with reggae music and entertainment. They offer snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, wind surfing, and sail boats. I can’t even tell you how many times a day Ryan would ask to go snorkeling!
When you get the best of both worlds: poolside with a view.
This courtyard gives me all the feels: archways, balconies, fountains, palm leaves, bistro tables, umbrellas. This is the way to enjoy your hazelnut coffee and pastry in the morning. Also, equally enjoying way to end an evening fireside.
St. John was a short boat ride away. We made our way to Trunk Bay; surrounded by turquoise waters and green hillsides, easily the most beautiful beach I have ever seen.
With the help of friends, we took the scenic route to Mongoose Junction. These stone villas are filled with shops, restaurants, and the best place to grab a shandy: St. John Brewery. The lush tropical plants made it feel like the biggest tree house ever.
We couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend our first week as newlyweds. Shout out to Kathy and Paul for planning this trip for us – we love you guys! Until next time, St. Thomas!
