An escape to Omni Bedford Springs was just what we need for a little r&r and to celebrate our one year anniversary. This resort is full of history and impeccable design. It’s about 2 hours outside of Pittsburgh, but luckily, my hometown is an hour in between so, it felt like a quick road trip – especially since we were fully entertained blasting Elvis’ greatest hits ha! We arrived Thursday evening, just in time for dinner and drinks at the Frontier Tavern, one of the five dining options on the resort grounds. It’s such a warm, cozy environment with wood details and wing back leather chairs. We spent the rest of the evening exploring because there is SO much to see and admire. Friday morning was one of my favorite moments of the trip. We grabbed a coffee and set out to the rocking chairs on the front porch. The lawn is enormous, stretching across the entire resort. A sight to see. Shortly after, we decided to hit the trails! Naturally, thinking we are in good shape, we chose the mountain trail but, jokes on us – huffing and puffing all the way up ha! After that, a long afternoon at the pool was necessary. There is both an indoor and outdoor pool at the Omni. Because it was super sunny, we hung at the outdoor one for hours with daiquiri in hand. Both pools are gorgeous, but the indoor pool is especially jaw dropping. On Friday evening, we celebrated our anniversary at the Crystal Room with delicious eats and prosecco. The rest of the night was spent on the front lawn and making friends around the fire pit. We milked every minute of Saturday morning, not wanting to leave, but until next time…
